Where does the directory data come from?

Licensing data comes from Utah DLBC's public licensing records (data as of Oct 30, 2026), secure-bed counts from DLBC's October 2026 regulated health facility report, coordinates from the state's UGRC facility layer, and nursing home ratings from CMS Care Compare (data as of Oct 1, 2026).

We do not use operator websites, aggregator listings or reviews, and we do not rate facilities. Profiles exist only where DLBC and CMS data support a substantial page; every other license is a row in the lists.

How should families use the directory?

Start with the list for the care type you need, filter by the cities near family, then open the profiles of three or four licenses and read what DLBC actually cited and whether the correction was verified.

Bring those findings to your tours. A facility that explains a past citation clearly, and shows what changed, is often a better sign than one with a short record it cannot discuss. For nursing homes, read CMS's ratings and the state record together rather than relying on either alone.
