How does SLC Senior Advisor source its facts?

Every regulatory statement cites Utah's administrative rules or the Utah DHHS, DLBC, DAAS or county page it comes from; cost figures come from the CareScout 2025 Cost of Care Survey's Utah release; population figures from Census Bureau Vintage 2025 estimates; VA figures from VA rate tables.

What will SLC Senior Advisor not publish?

We do not publish figures we cannot trace to a primary source, facility details that are not in DLBC's or CMS's bulk data, reviews, testimonials, or ratings of our own.

  • No Salt Lake City cost median: CareScout publishes state and national medians only.
  • No memory care median: CareScout does not survey memory care anywhere.
  • No assisted living ratings: neither Utah nor CMS rates assisted living, and we will not invent a score.
  • No facility pages built from marketing copy: profiles use DLBC and CMS records only.

How often is the directory updated?

The directory is regenerated from DLBC's public licensing records (data as of Oct 30, 2026), DLBC's monthly regulated facility report (October 2026) and CMS's Provider Information dataset (data as of Oct 1, 2026).

Each listing page shows its source and data date. Page dates in our sitemap change only when a page's content changes. Section numbers refer to R432-270 as amended through Utah State Bulletin 2023-22 (effective November 9, 2023); DLBC's own findings sometimes cite later section numbers.

How does SLC Senior Advisor handle CMS star ratings and DLBC findings?

We show CMS ratings exactly as CMS publishes them, labelled as CMS ratings, only for nursing homes CMS certifies, and we quote DLBC findings with the rule, level and correction status DLBC records; we never average, adjust or extend either.

Comparisons on facility pages, such as whether a facility's findings count is above the local median, are simple arithmetic on the published records, and each states the median it uses.

How do I request a correction?

Email advisors@slcsenioradvisor.com with the page and the correction; operators may request corrections to how their license data is displayed, but the underlying records come from DLBC and CMS, so changes to them must be made with those agencies.

We correct errors promptly. Reader corrections about Utah rules or benefit amounts are checked against the rule or agency page before we change anything.
